Explosion Bonded Cladding - Including Carbon, Stainless, Nickel Alloys & Copper Alloys

 

PVS have an exclusive partnership with Shockwave Metalworking Technologies (SMT) for the supply of explosion bonded clad material. Our base metals consist of Carbon grades, forgings and stainless plates. We also offer a wide range of cladding materials such as 300 & 400 series stainless, Duplex & Super Duplex, Nickel Alloys, Copper Alloys, Titanium, Zirconium and Tantalum (further  materials may be available upon customer's request).

The process of explosively bonding dissimilar metals is considered to be a solid-state welding process that requires controlled amounts of explosive energy forcing two or more metals together at high pressures.
